bbd #12 - Doubleknots with cherries

The bbd #12 ist hosted b by My Diverse Kitchen. Arpana choose small breads in Germany we call them "Brötchen". I prefer them with seeds and wholemeal but I also love the sweet ones. My reciepe is a simlpe yeast dough made with milk but then I added som self dried cherries. |
The doublekots are perfect for a weekend breakfast, buttered and spread with jam preferred with cherry jam.

| 20 | gram | Fresh Yeast | |
| 300 | gram | Milk, lukewarm | |
| 50 | gram | Butter, soft | |
| 75 | gram | Dried Cherries | |
| 1 | Egg | ||
| 2 | tbsp. | Milk |

Zubereitung
Dissolve the yeast in the milk, put aside for about 10 minutes.
Put flour, sugar, salt and butter in a mixing bowl, add the yeastmilk slowly. Knead on lower spead for 5 minutes until the dough ist soft. Add the cherries and knead them carefully under the dough.
Put aside covered until the dough has doubled its volume.
Put the dough on the worktop, give a short knead and divide it in 90 gramm pieces.
Form each piece into a 40 cm long , make a knot on each end. Put the doubleknots on a baking sheet.
Let them rise for 20-30 minutes until they are well risen.
Whisk egg and milk and glaze the doubleknots.
Heat the oven to 160°C an bake for 15-20 minutes.
